Refund policy
If a course is not what it promised, ask us within 14 days and we will refund it. This page is the detail behind that sentence.
The short version
- 14 days from purchase to ask.
- Under 30% of the course completed: approved as a matter of course.
- Refunded to the way you paid — the same card, or the same mobile money account.
- Access to that course ends when the refund is issued.
When you are entitled to a refund
Within 14 days of buying, and having completed less than 30% of the course, you can have your money back for any reason at all. You do not have to justify it.
Outside those limits we still refund in full when:
- you were charged twice for the same course;
- the course was removed by us, or is substantially incomplete compared with what its page described;
- a technical fault on our side stopped you using it and we could not fix it;
- the purchase was made without your authorisation.
If you live in the EU, the EEA or the UK
The law there gives you 14 days from a purchase to cancel it, and we honour that in full: within 14 days of buying a course, you can have your money back however much of it you have watched. The completion limit above does not apply to you.
When we are likely to say no
- The course is substantially finished. Completing it and then asking for the money back is not a refund, and it takes the instructor’s work with it.
- Repeated refunds across many courses. We look at the pattern, not the individual request.
- The certificate has been issued and used, unless one of the situations above applies.
- The material was downloaded or redistributed in breach of the terms.
A refusal always comes with a reason. If you think it is wrong, reply to it — a person reads it.
How to ask
Email support@clintech.academy from the address on your account, with:
- the course name;
- the date you bought it, or the order reference from your orders page;
- one line on what went wrong — useful to us, and not a test you have to pass.
We aim to decide within 5 working days and will tell you either way.
How long the money takes
| Paid with | Back with you in |
|---|---|
| Mobile money | 1–5 working days after approval |
| Card | 5–10 working days, depending on your bank |
Refunds go back through the provider that took the payment, to the same number or card. We cannot send a refund somewhere else, which is also what protects you if someone else gets into your account.
Free courses and subscriptions
Nothing to refund on a free course — you can simply unenrol. Paid subscriptions, including AI study credits, are handled differently: you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Unused credits are not refunded once spent, and a period already served is not refunded, unless a fault on our side prevented you using it.
What a refund means for the instructor
A refunded sale is reversed from the instructor’s earnings, including sales already paid out, which are then recovered from later earnings. Instructors see every refund against their course. This is why we look at patterns of repeated refunds: the cost of an abusive one falls on a teacher, not on a corporation.
Chargebacks
Please write to us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee and suspends the account while it is investigated, and it is slower for you than simply asking. If you have already opened one, tell us and we will work with your provider.
