How to create a course
From applying to teach to a published course: every step in the studio.

Anyone who knows their subject can teach on Clintech Academy. This is the whole path, from your first click to students enrolling.
1. Apply to teach
Open Teach and choose Apply to teach. Tell us what you teach and show us something you have made or done: a portfolio, a past course, your work. An administrator reviews it, and you get an email either way. Once approved, the Teach portal opens in your sidebar.
2. Start the course
In the Teach portal, open Courses and create a new one. Give it a working title; you can change everything later. You land in the studio, which saves as you go.
3. Describe it
On the Overview tab, write what students will be able to do once they finish:
Title and subtitle: the subtitle is one line saying what the student can do afterwards.
Description, category, language and level: these decide where the course appears in the catalogue and in search.
Learning outcomes: start each with a verb a student can be tested on (“Build”, “Calculate”, “Explain”).
Requirements and a thumbnail image.
4. Build the curriculum
On the Curriculum tab, add modules (the chapters), and in each module add lessons, quizzes and assignments. Drag them, or use the arrows, to put them in order. The pencil renames them and the bin deletes them.
A lesson is made of blocks: text, headings, video (upload it, or link a YouTube video), images, PDFs, equations, worked solutions, graphs, diagrams, code and code exercises, flashcards and quick knowledge checks. Give each lesson its length in minutes: the course’s total is what the catalogue shows.
If AI is switched on, Draft with AI can suggest an outline to start from. Read and change what it writes: you are the teacher.
5. Set the price and the certificate
On Pricing, make the course free or set a price in US dollars. Buyers everywhere see it in their own currency, and you can set your home price (in FCFA, for example) yourself. The share you keep of every sale is shown there. On Certificate, choose whether finishing it earns one.
6. Submit it for review
When it has at least three lessons, press Submit for review. An administrator checks it: the content, the quizzes’ answers, the price. They approve and publish it, or send it back saying what to change. You are emailed at each step.
7. Change it after it is live
A published course is locked so students are never taught from a half-edited page. To change it, press Take down to edit: it leaves the catalogue (students already enrolled keep studying it), you make your changes, and you submit it again.
Tip: preview your course as a student before submitting. Mark one or two lessons as free previews so people can try it before they buy.
